How commedia dell’arte, well the pattern is very Harlequin and Collumbine. Rather impressive in design detail and size really. Going to look quite imposing in the correct setting. We have one on display in our showroom if local or perhaps you fancy a day out by the sea.

Writing Bureau
A lovely antique for collection: Walnut antique bureau writing desk with gallery. It has been with the owner's family for more than 30 years and been used with care.

The bureau desk has a rectangular moulded top with good surface, the brown leather inlaid top still in very good condition. There is a small gallery on top with many pigeon holes, one drawer. The lower base has large cupboard with shelf, two doors with original handles.

The piece is strong and sturdy, walnut wood of a rich light colour with a striking grain, good patina and still in very good condition. The front varnish seemed to be faded with time.

Size: H102.5 x W76.5 x D45 cm approx.

Condition: used, but still in good condition, minor usage scratches here and there as it is a second hand item but nothing serious. Key and lock are in working order. We zoomed and showed all parts of the piece including any minor defects.
