Description

This is a wonderful, original antique Staffordshire Pottery China, 19th Century Victorian period brightly colourful Scottish Highlanders flatback figure. The figure depicts two young ladies standing either side of a rose tree with a bird perched in the centre. The figures have brightly cobal blue glazed dresses, one with a tartan kilt, both wearing feathered hats. A bright and colourful piece of Staffordshire China from the mid to late 19th Century.

1860 to 1900

Condition:
The figure is in good condition for its age, bright of colour, with minor wear to parts of the glazing. The figure appears to have been professionally restored where the heads of the figures appear to have been damaged at some period, around the neck area, but the restoration has been well executed. The figure does have some crazing and old firing cracks, this all adding to the charm and authenticity of the figure.
